(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? We recently moved and the primary reason was that it simply got too expensive in my condo with the many assessments (the latest one was $20,000) and Maintenance raises the Board approved. Therefore, we picked another place that we are loving and the costs are SO much less.
(5) Have you thought of making any New Year's Eve resolutions this year? Yes - one is trying to relax a bit - not being uptight.
(6) When you want to check what the weather will be like the next day where do you go..TV, radio, newspaper..etc...) TV
(7) Have you ever rode a horse? Yes
(1) Your are traveling 5 hours from home. Would you rather take a plane, train or car? Since the travel by plane would add an additional 2-3 hours, I would rather drive. Now, if it were an 10-hour trip the train would be nice. I have travelled from San Jose, CA to Chicago by train. 3 days. It was nice since I had a sleeper room. Excellent food.
(2) Which TV sitcom do you think had the best cliff hanger/season finale? The Newhart show were he woke up in bed with his wife from his old show. It had not been leaked and took everyone by surprise.
(3) At home do you normally use a pen or pencil to write? Pencil. I have to make too many corrections.
(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? My retired parents move here. So I followed.
(5) Have you thought of making any New Year's Eve resolutions this year? No.
(6) When you want to check what the weather will be like the next day where do you go..TV, radio, newspaper..etc...) I have a widget on my desktop that I look at all day. It pops up storm warnings. I tune into the weather channel around dinner time when we are talking about what is happening the next day.
(7) Have you ever rode a horse? I used to own a quarter horse when I lived in CA. Nice old nag named Jessie. I used to ride every few days.

(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? Mr. Fan got a new job. We chose the house we live in based on the Oregon school districts.

(7) Have you ever rode a horse? Yes and it was on a beach in Ireland. Connemara coast, Angela. It was such fun! My horse was named Mickey and Little Fan got a great pony to ride named Pal. Memory of a lifetime indeed.

(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? It was where the hubby was. Otherwise, it would have been somewhere different.
(5) Have you thought of making any New Year's Eve resolutions this year? No. I tend to make resolutions all through the year and work on them one at a time. I usually satisfy all of them. Then, there is no pressure at the New Year.
(6) When you want to check what the weather will be like the next day where do you go..TV, radio, newspaper..etc...) Normally the tv, but I also go to weather.com alot.

Good morning all and Happy Tuesday! It is COLD here and they are calling for snow flurries later in the day but Roanoke, about 45 minutes west of here, they got snow early this morning!
I tried the white chili that Shea posted on my recipe topic....thanks Shea....it was DELISH!! and EASY!! Thanks! I did write all of them down and hope to try some of the others soon!
(1) Your are traveling 5 hours from home. Would you rather take a plane, train or car? for 5 hours, I'd just drive.....anything over 6 I would rather fly.

(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? well, I still live in my hometown so I suppose that is self-explanatory (couldn't leave family) but the house I am in now was given to me when my grandmother passed away, so that sort of made my decision for me! :)
(5) Have you thought of making any New Year's Eve resolutions this year? I usually don't make any resolutions.....I used to when I was much younger, but I don't think I ever kept them! LOL

(7) Have you ever rode a horse? yes, my grandparents had them on the farm when I was growing up.......my ex's parents also owned a horse ranch out in Wyoming......

(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? when I walked into the condo and saw the spiral staircase up to the loft area I immediately asked if there were any bids on the place and they told me I was the first one. I knew then that I wanted the place (and got it eventually - they tried to dirty deal, but obviously it was meant to be and 5 months later I was moving in.
(5) Have you thought of making any New Year's Eve resolutions this year? no... I know I don't want to work that day... I haven't worked between Christmas and New Years in at least 20 years, but I'm at a new job and 12/29,30 and 31 are technically work days... ummmmmm I'm plotting...

(1) Your are traveling 5 hours from home. Would you rather take a plane, train or car? By car. I've never been on a plane or a train. Eventually, I'd like to take Amtrak down to New Orleans, but most of my traveling plans are on hold for now.

The season 5 finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in which Buffy dives into the giant vortex to stop the apocolypse ... and at the airing, we knew the show had been picked up by UPN, so it was like... OMG. She died? How are they going to bring her back?
My other favorite is the Angel series finale. At the time, it was infuriating, because the show purposely didn't tie up any loose strings. Wolfram & Hart unleashed hell on Los Angeles and it appeared as though our heroes were all dead meat. Thankfully, comic books have carried on the story and we know what happened next (officially).

(4) What made you decide to live where you are (location, price was right,..etc..)? It wasn't really a decision. Where I live now is about 50 miles from where I'm from. I was offered a job here, which was a thankful escape from the job I was at ... I took it, and look at me nine years later. lol
