Topic: What New Shows Are You Looking Forward To This Season?

Topic Posted by: Isis

Additional Comments: For me, it's:

Dexter

Also... Californication

Hank Moody

I love Hank

I am also looking forward to

This season looks good!

I know everyone will laugh at me for this one, but I love the reality TV on Vh1 and have been long looking forward to seeing this guy again:

Rumor has it they will be doing a Rock of Love 3 called Rock of Love Bus where instead of all the trampy ladies living in some mansion, they will be on tour with Bret. Totally can't wait!

Rock of Love Bus

And of course, I would be remiss if I didn't add this one...I AM a soap opera fan, after all! (If I wasn't, I guess I wouldn't be here in the first place) I still LOVE this show and can't wait to see what is going to happen this season...

Oooo, I almost forgot an HBO original called:

Anything from the creators of Six Feet Under has my vote! I hope it's as good as it looks!
HBO's True Blood

So..what are you looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to the return of Dexter, Smallville and Lost.  I also would like to try to get back into Heroes, but I didn't follow much of last season and it has been so long since the show aired.  I wish when shows have been gone for a while they would play reruns to remind you of what went on.  Why don't they run reruns any more???  Other returning shows, Boston Legal and I might actually give Desperate Housewives another look.

New shows, I know Mad Men isn't new but I have never seen it.  My mom, who loves the show, tells me they are having a marathon this weekend so I hope to watch it and see what it is about.  I heard it is a great show.

True Blood.  I love vampire stories and this looks good.  Isis, thanks for the link.  It was fun to watch.  I also like Anna Paquin.  Another show I'll check out is Fringe.

This past week I've had a chance to catch up on lots of stuff taped... I finally watched the movie, Becoming Jane and really liked it.  ahhhhhhhhh

ok, so besides daytime TV which will resume in the next week or so, others I'm looking forward to are: (in no particular order)

    Survivor Gabon
The Mentalist (I like Simon, not sure I'll like the show, but I'll give it a shot)
    Dexter
    Brothers & Sisters
    Rescue Me (March)
    Dirty Sexy Money
True Blood (I'm not into Vampires, but when I saw it was written by the Six Feet Under folks I figured I better give it a try)
    Big Love
    The Tudors
New Adventures of Old Christine (I LOVE Wanda Sykes, I wish it was HER show)
    The Riches

  • I think we have to wait a while for The Riches. They have an odd schedule like MONK and Minnie has to give birth before they resume (since I doubt they wrote her pregnancy in) . eom/WE

Why is everything centered again? I assumed someone closed the tag. W.E. did you do it? I didn't know that you could go in and close it after the post was already up, but if anyone could do it, it would be you. Anyway, if you did, could you do it again, because I don't know how.

  • Yes I've been closing it but it must be closed after each new response since the original tag is still open. eom/WE

  • Oh, see I don't care about sports at all. Don't care about professionals playing sports, don't care about not-professionals playing sports in the Olympics, don't care about watching anyone play any sport on TV, Well, maybe if they made my Mom a Philaldelphia Eagle or something, I might watch...for a few minutes...but other than that, I just don't care about sports. I hope your team gets to wherever you want them to be though! ///Isis

  • Jericho was cancelled...twice. The fans were able to bring it back once, then they cancelled it again. I tried to watch Lost when it frist came out, but I got bored really fast. I only watched teh first 5 or 6 episodes, then I gave up. ///Isis

Gee, isis, this makes me feel like I should make the whole thing rhyme or something.  LOL.  My Own Worst Enemy looks like something I might like.  Otherwise, probably just the usual shows.  The last year of ER, Grey's Lobotomy, Lost when that finally shows up, and I'd nearly forgotten Big Love because it's been so long.

Right now I'm deeply involved in Mad Men

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Why do you feel like you should rhyme? Why am I not getting anyone's references this morning? It's like I took a stupid pill or something. I don't know what's wrong with me. How is that Mad Men? I have heard it's pretty darn good. I am just afriaid it's too late into the show for me to get involved since I haven't been watching from the beginning. ///Isis
  • I think it was me not you. I just meant the centering made me feel like it was a poem. You can rent season one. It was available on one of my

Love Desperate Housewives. Can't wait for the return of Californication, Dirty Sexy Money and I want to check out The Mentalist with Simon Baker. Some others we have to wait longer for their return or premiere.

  • Oh, it took me awhile to figure out your bus comment. I'm a little slow this morning. I assume you are referring to Bret Michaels. Is he not a hottie to beat all hotties? You know when the first season of his show was on, he always had that bandana around his head all the time. I told my hubby, He probably went bald that's why he won't take it off. I mean he would even sleep with it on. Then one day he took it off and look, ma, I still have all my hair! I said, ok, he's perfect. That's all that can be said about that. He is a little dumb though, but who cares? ///Isis
  • Yep he's dumb but cute. I thought the same thing about his hair (loved that one father actually asked him). He's also, for the most part, a pretty nice guy (male slut though, lol). eom/WE
  • He has a major hairpiece/weave. he admitted it last year. that first season, I remember the downright scary episode in which he was wearing pj's and took off the bandana ... YIKES!!!!!!!!! eom

I think you mean new seasons of shows. I LOVE ''Dexter''. Season 3 begins Sept 28th. New seasons for ''Big Love'' and ''24'' begin in Jan.

A new HBO show about vampires starts this coming season. It's written by the people who wrote ''Six Feet Under''.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • Um...yeah, I meant the new season. Did you read anything I wrote above? True Blood is the new vampire show I even added a link. It looks awesome. Like Buffy The Vampire Slayer all grown up. ///Isis
  • Oh, I guess I see what you are saying. I said What NEW shows are you looking foraward to. I didn't know I had to be specific. What shows be they new or old is anyone looking forward to I guess I should have said. Anyway, I just meant what are you looking forward to watching in Sept. ///Isis
  • Sorry, I missed your TrueBlood picture. It would be wonderful if this show is good. Another goodie to watch. Oops! I forgot to mention ''HOUSE''. Fed Up
