Subject: Other soaps have shown much more. I was shocked to turn on The Young and the Restless one day long ago to see nipples and nudity! It isn't soap sexuality that is making young kids have sex in ways our generation only occasionally did, but we certainly never bragged about it publicly and never showed it all day long on TV, music videos, movies, and every other public display. Even on fairly bland American Idol one week, some popular hip hop group was singing about how wonderful it was to go down, and it was very clear what they meant as the skimpily dressed backup singers threw themselves at the lead male. Ryan Seacrest even made a crack about, how does Ryan get a harem, too? And this was family entertainment. AMC is not alone in showing more sexuality, it's not even anywhere near being on the edge. eom ML
