Subject: Erica happily moved on and never sat around brooding nor did she try to get back Jack or break up Jack & Carmen or repeatedly ask Carmen about her relationship with Jack as Jack has been doing to Adam about Erica. How could this be karmic payback when they were left on their own, and got no attention from the person supposedly receiving the karma? I don’t blame Erica for NOT pretending Carmen was still her friend then, as friends don’t date other friends ex’s, and she Carmen, when Carmen literally attacked her about Jack. Erica has been very happy & vibrant moving on with her life. Can’t say the same for Jack though, all his talk about enjoying being with Carmen seems to have been false and he was only using her to get Erica’s attention to no avail. So now he is sniffling around trying to find out what is going on between Adam & Erica. To SORAS, Erica made it clear that she was offering Jackson her FRIENDSHIP (NOT a RELATIONSHIP) that day at the mansion the two came to a détente./Sg

Subject: That may be, but Erica DID exhibit jealousy and discontent over the Jack/Carmen hookup. One of Erica's leading characteristics is the assumption that the world revolves around herself and that any ex-husband/lover of hers will ALWAYS belong to her, exclusively. She pretended not to care when Carmen asked her permission to date Jack, but it was quite evident that Erica really DID care--- a lot! Carmen, rather naively, took Erica at face value and went ahead, believing that she had her friend's 'blessing' when, in actual fact, she did not. And Jack was sincere in his affection for Carmen. He needed and deserved SOME solace, after the callous way that Erica treated him during her flirtation with Sam Wood. However you may try to whitewash Erica's motives, she has always been selfish and egocentric, at least where men are concerned. And her treatment of Jackson, over the years, has been LESS THAN ADMIRABLE, to put it mildly! She has teased him, encouraged him, vowed eternal love to him, cheated on him, and then tossed him aside, more times than I can count. I mean, WTF? He had every right to pursue a relationship with someone else, especially if he wanted to get the Toxic Kane out of his system, once and for all. (Looks like he failed to do that, though. Oh, well!) Understatement
