No, I thought it was lovely that they honored people who were important, beloved, etc., and since those people are gone, there will usually be no confusion as to which Trevor or Stuart someone is referring.
I didn't think of this in any other way.
ITA that the given name Spike is odious. A nickname is one thing...but a given name is just goofy.

This was exactly my point of view in a post I made back when Amanda was giving birth and Liza was adopting. I don't even like when this happens in real life, and with the few characters there are on the show, doubling up on names just makes it so confusing. Personally, I think it's a little lazy. I appreciate the 'honoring' thing that this represents, but maybe it should just remain a middle name thing. I think everyone deserves their own identity, and to saddle someone with a person/name to live up to from the time they are born is kinda cruel. Everytime anyone mentions Trevor, all I can think of is Uncle PorkChop.
If they name a child after it's father and call him junior everyone objects. Lil A is Adam III which everyone hates but if he's called Adam then he's confused with his grandfather. JR is also Adam II as with most families who find a way to deal with it. It's natural.
I thought it was lovely that the babies are named after one's grandfather, Trevor, and the other after a dearly departed beloved person.
I object to a baby being called the name his mother nicknamed her baby bump, Spike. That was cute while she was pregnant then just kept it. Who does THAT? I can understand objections there but the babies were perfectly named as most in real life would do.
