Donna was okay in my book but she had to grow on me.
It took awhile before I cared about her.
By the time she left I was back to not really caring again.

The great thing about Donna was that we understood WHY she'd taken to the street. There was a backstory about her father having abused her, and how at a very young age she'd run away from home. We could feel for Donna, we could empathize. And Estelle too...what a great character Estelle was! We were rooting for both these women because they had real, plausible, comprehensible problems. Whereas in the case of Randi, we don't even know what motivated her in the first place, so how can we feel anything or relate?
