Additional Comments: OK...I'm out of the loop (got a job - hurray!!) and have missed some episodes....can someone recap why Amanda and David are creating a baby and why is Jake OK with it? If it's to give David his own baby.....I can't see Amanda giving up custody of the second one....she wouldn't give up the first one....Help!

Not just you. I stated, below, that it's believed Dave may have done a DNA test and knows Trevor is Jake's. That's why the rush for another child. eom/WE

David is blackmailing J & A into doing WHATEVER he wants, so he doesn't have them prosecuted for kid-napping, etc. etc...

David made them a deal. If Amanda gives him another child they will get their lives back. Meaning - shared custody and Amanda no longer has to live with David. NO couple would agree to this but they did and there's no way David doesn't have plans to renege on this deal.

Part of it is that she and Jake can't have sex for the whole nine months (??) and David also doesn't really want Jake near Trevor.

Why does David need ANOTHER child when he has Trevor? Some speculate he did a DNA test and knows Trevor is Jake's. He's so manipulative but Jake and Amanda slept together just prior to them signing this deal.

Sooo that means Trevor AND the new baby might both be Jake's. Dave would deserve that. I hope Amanda tells Jake she and Dave did it the old fashioned way (since they'd have to wait another month once stranded on the road). This way once it's proven Trevor is Jake's and hopefully the new baby - David will have nothing to hold over Amanda's head.
