Additional Comments:

It always amazes me the time of day folks visit the graveyard in Pine Valley. ALL graveyards in my neck of the woods are closed to everyone at dusk. They have gates that are locked so cars cannot enter. Granted people could leap the fence if they wanted to.

This week it's even more absurd. Where would shenanigans more than likely take place on Halloween? I say the GRAVEYARD. I never did it, too chicken, but know plenty daredevils who have.

I can't believe Adam then Erica and Ryan and Annie (beating them there) all entered and not a policeman in sight. Not saying all graveyards would have a cop on duty but you'd think they'd be doing constant drive-bys.

I'm also always amazed, no amused, by the birth/death dates of characters on tombstones. David Canary is 71 years old. Guess TPTB felt the need to whack a few years off making the twins 6 years younger than DC. He plays them so what's the big deal? It's not like he objects to being called grandpa (heh) and is six years really that big a difference?

I thought it was funny (though DC was amazing) when he leaned against the headstone and it moved.

  • No really? I taped and figured we were going to commercial so I FF. I must go have another look. eom/WE
  • I also was amazed at how quickly Annie and Scott were able to free themselves from the elevator, go home, shower and change, etc and only be minutes behind Erica & Co. LOL - EOM - Dee

Six or seven years more or less with David Canary hardly makes any difference -- the man hardly ages a-tall!

And I must say, DC's performance today was heart wrenching!  I lost it when he tearfully intoned: "I'm evil and I took the life of an angel."  ~sob~

(And a part of my brain kept expecting the scene to kinda shift over to Babe's grave, where all the graveyard action usually takes place . . .)

  • For that reason alone I shouldn't have minded the ridiculous graveyard business. Do I see another Emmy in DCs future? Yes! eom/WE
  • Absolutely... I smell Emmy with a capital E... I thought DC was FANTASTIC in the Chandler house... and then wonderful at the cemetary. And yes, that was a magnificient line (surprise, writers!) - when he called himself 'evil' and said that he took the life of an angel... heartwrenching. (i also found myself talking back to my tv, saying: 'No, you're not, Adam. You are NOT evil!' - LOL...

Around here (also PA) one can enter most graveyards after hours, no gates. They may not all be like that but the ones I am familiar with are. The thing that gets me about the graveyards is how quickly the headstones are put up. When my grandfather died, it was a good 2 months before the stone even came in and then even longer before it was placed on his grave. On AMC and other soaps, it's there the next week! Notice how they are always in walking distance too!

  • The rich can get most things quickly I suppose. eom/WE

Well the cemetery and public park are one and the same so I guess that is why it is open 24/7. Nothing makes sense in the land of Pine Valley so nothing really surprises me anymore.

  • It always bothers me but even moreso since it was Halloween. eom/WE
  • Maybe since no one stays dead or their bodies are lost over the cliff they don't need a large graveyard so they just use the city park/j

WE, What did you see as Stuart's year of birth? I thought it read 1945. That would make the twins 64. No way Adam looks 64. He looks every bit his age, very good mind you, but every bit.

  • Yes now I recall it did say 1945 making it 7 years they shaved off. eom/WE
  • Erica birth year should be 1945 as well, but since she is still in her 40s I guess Adam's age can be whatever they like too. None of it makes sense we just go with it./j
  • Erica (SL) real birth year is '47/dec....ec
