JR only cares about his father when there's something in it for him. He's like a whiney little kid who's jealous because he's not getting attention. The little twerp needs to grow up. And did "working my tail off" for Chandler, as he said to Tad and Liza, happen behind the scenes? If not, I must have blinked and missed it.

While I'm on the Chandlers, didn't I read here that the girl who plays Colby was let go? I keep hoping every scene will be the last of her sing-song recitation of her lines. Please tell me it will be soon!

Adam never goes looking for JR to be hateful to him, JR always comes to the house to start a fight, if JR would be pleasant so would Adam. JR is a spoiled punk, his Father just had a heart attack and instead of being concerned, he is just a smart ass, what happened to respect for your elders?/j

Sorry, but when JR & Marissa came to see Adam to share the news that they just got Married, Adam could have welcomed his son & his new bride back in his life, but instead Adam was the one to first start by insulting Marissa, which resulted her to tears! Sorry, but Adam HATES when he is not in control with his children, so he starts berating & making his children feel worthless! I hope JR just lives his life, & away from that miserable old fool!/mistygrace

Adam is 64...remember the date of birth on Stuart's tombstone..we're not talking DC..we're talking AC...and AC is 64. But even if AC were in his 70's...there's still life ahead for many people after the 70's. LOL...

True Adam and JR go at each other, but Adam has always been there for JR when he gets himself in trouble and Adam has never done anything as bad to JR as Tad has, but JR thinks Tad is the most wonderful father in the world, go figure/j

Adam Chandler is Only 64? My mom is 59, & looks like she could be Adam's daughter, & Adam looks like my grandfather's age, who just turned 80! Lol! Poor DC, is definitely looking much older than he is!:( I just like to say that I hope JR & Adam BOTH end their bickering, & go back to Father/Son, but Wish people would stop making this all JR's fault, because Adam is every bit to blame for he & his son not getting along!/mistygrace

It seems like DC has really aged this year, he seems thin and frail from just a year ago, I wonder if he is ill. As much as we will miss him maybe it is time for him to retire and rest./goldie

He's 71...someone said he had a hip replacement last spring but if that's the case he recovered really fast...however I think he looks wonderful...please don't forget that ADAM is not on his game for many months now...his beloved brother is dead...his family and fortune have been in disarray...he's basically been a prisoner in his own house as he kept prisoner Annie entertained...Adam hasn't gone to the office in how long? How many times has Adam been drugged with how many pills? I think DC lets Adam be less snazzy in his dress, etc., because Adam is not on his game at all anymore and is very very sad. Adam has worn sweaters with shirts under them lately and he wears them not as sharp and crisp as Adam usually would...I look to see if he has one point of the collar in and one out ..as Stuart would do...he doesn't but it's close...the idea of looking the way Stuart might...hair not combed just so...looser...clothing not perfectly crisp...Stuart didn't need that or care...Adam was very regimented even in his dress...now Adam is not. Because Stuart..his heart..is gone. As far as DC goes, the man is 71..that's not that old. And everyone on the board says that at the end of his contract, after this move to LA, he's leaving AMC. Assuming that's the case I hope they give this grand actor and this silver fox an appropriate sendoff...but so far look what they've given Ray McDonnell...bupkus. I love DC and really think that few people of 71 have his youth...his ability to be in there and BEING THE BEST...everyone knows how formidable he is as an actor...how everyone else pales in comparison to him in scenes...how he makes others do better just by virtue of his talent and skill and generosity...who are we to suggest it's time he call it quits? I wish he'd stay on...he's a tribute to what an older person can be and can do. I have never thought of him as all that old...I don't THINK of age with him...why it's becoming such a topic on the board is sad...if you want to populate AMC with only characters under the age of 42....you'll get what you get---SORAS

I much agree with SORAS above - in her words about David Canary. And re: all the peeps above that says he looks old, 85, bla bla bla - i think you're nuts!! That man looks FANTASTIC. He is 71 and handsome as a Prince. Also in great shape, he's a strong man... and the best actor they were ever lucky enough to have on the show. And regarding Dr. Joe / Ray McDonnell... i hate that he has to retire also, but the show did do something for him this week, on screen and off... a nice tribute and celebration. I'm guessing we will 'see' Dr. Joe retiring some time in December/January.
