AMC has approached Eva LaRue (ex-Maria) about a possible return for AMC's 40th Anniversary shows, slated to air January 4 and 5. She would be joining former onscreen brother and sister in law, Mateo and Hayley. As previously reported, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa will be making the return to Pine Valley for the anniversary. My hope is that these anniversary shows will be centered around a retirement party for Joe Martin, since Ray MacDonnell will not be making the move to LA when the show relocates in December. Eva's appearance stems on her CSI: Miami shooting schedule, but according to SOD, her rep says Eva would love to make the appearance.

Message: I liked her best when she was engaged to Aidan, they were so sweet together. But of course poor Aidan lost out again, I would love for Maria to come back and she and Aidan fall in love again and then leave PV to live happily ever after. I know, never happen.

meh...I never liked Maria...but any former characters who show are always nice to see. ITA as to Ray MacDonnell..he and SL are the only ones who've been there the full 40 years.
