Topic: The speed of the Cambias jet

Topic Posted by: digit
Date Posted: Fri May 9 18:38:52 2008
Additional Comments: Wow, the Cambias jet sure gets across the Atlantic quickly.Wouldn't Jake have been treated on the jet? That exit from the Sudan was remarkably unrealistic even for a soap with an Opalghostbuster Buffet style.

When I thought about it (and I really, really, REALLY tried not to!) I assumed that the computer thing had been pre-taped by the rebels, and it wasn't real-time.  Of course there's inconsistencies about that, but the talks did seem a little off to me.

Or it might have just been me being distracted by eating my lunch, sweeping the floor and prepping for work.  AMC's been a tad boring lately...^_^

Well, I for one am really glad the PVTM (Pine Valley Time Machine) is working again!  I was really worried that they were going to have to travel in real time and have real jet lag and be smelly and dirty from the bomb and actually, probably just sitting by Jake!  But no worries maties, they are back before you could say, quick as a bunny!  LOL. eom/tarabrent

More of that crazy Pine Valley geography. Well, if Pennsylvania can be on the Atlantic coast, then I guess that Darfur can be displaced to just a few miles off the Pennsylvania coast. I mean, what the hay?

If this were Passions instead of AMC, I'd speculate that a faster-than-the-speed-of-light UFO  abducted Aidan and Jake and then spirited them home....?

I did a double-take on that one! When Jake told Angie not to call his family I rolled my eyes thinking we'd be getting another one of those long drawn out ''missing and presumed dead'' stories. And as mentioned below, how did Aiden have enough time to spruce up when that PV transporter was traveling at the speed of light? Did anyone else think Greenlee's reaction to seeing him was a little subdued? I expected her to run and leap on him and all he got was a goofy smile.

It took me longer to toast a bagel than it did for Jake and Aiden to fly home. REDICULOUS

I truly thought they had skipped a couple episodes.  That was the most bizarre thing they’ve done yet.  At least we didn’t have to wait long to see the outcome…which was a first.

It takes longer to board the plane!! That was ridiculous! Greenlee didn't even have time to re-apply her lip gloss! Aiden looked like he just stepped out of the shower, too. I KNOW it's a soap, but that was absurd.....especially with the usual pace of soap stories.

I thought the very same thing...They made it home in a blink of an eye.   That Jet must be super...supersonic.,...they had to have traveled at the speed of light.....LOL
