I started to post a topic last night but then didn't..asking what happened?  I thought Bailey chose Damon over Stuart...she left Liza's apartment and went back out that night to hook up a second time with Damon...she ignored Liza's call to her...then the next thing I see is her telling Liza on the day of Adam's wedding that just because she made a bad decision in calling a sitter in that night and leaving Stuart to go party with Damon that doesn't mean Liza shouldn't trust her to take care of Stuart by herself the day of the wedding.

Again, I felt like I missed 3 episodes in between that kind of melded this story together...but no..didn't happen...we're just supposed to fill in the blanks.  MY blank would be, "You left the baby with a sitter when you told me YOU'D watch him...you left a second time to hook up with crazy Damon...you ignored my call to you...THERE'S THE DOOR...FIGHT ME FOR CUSTODY...YOU'VE GIVEN ME SOME AMMO."

Bailey is a jerk.  I understand of course that Liza is totally bonded to Stuart as anyone would be...but too bad she doesn't just hook up with David and have HIS baby!  She'd fight the custody situation in court and represent herself..she'd hammer out an agreement with him...he's mellowed...it will be a half-sibling for Trevor but half a sibling is better than none...then David can let Amanda go be with Jake and share custody of Trevor too. 

And as for Liza's saying she tried to get pregnant via insemination and it didn't work thus she decided to adopt the baby Jake was hawking...this is DAVID!  I'm surprised she isn't pregnant already what with his tugging on the belt to her robe when he came to her apartment that night..just a walkby from the sizzlin' David and you're with child!!

Liza can't conceive. The reason she went so far to get Stuart is she tried in vitro, too, for a long time and it never took. She explained this to Amanda when she questioned how long it might take. eom./

Liza has not been able to conceive for many years now. Her inability to conceive in the old fashioned way is one of the reasons Colby was conceived by invitro; now not even that has worked for her in the past few years, that’s why she turned to adoption. David does not really want Amanda, yes there is an attraction but it MORE about WINNING and driving a wedge in another Martin marriage for David. And the women are all stupid enough to fall pry to him. First Dixie then Krystal (so very easy for David to conquer & bed) and now Amanda. David is just BAD!

Liza conceived Colby by artificial insemination (not in vitro) because she wanted Jake to be the dad, even though they were only platonic; she was married to Adam at the time but they were estranged. Adam bought the sperm clinic and switched the samples so Adam ended up being the dad. To my knowledge she had never tried to conceive naturally prior to her artifical insemination. /SheilaT

That is Bailey, baby Stuart's teenaged biological mother. The young boy hanging around both of them is Damon, Stuart's biological father. Liza has taken her in, giving Bailey a chance to see what being a parent is all about, hoping to overwhelm her into abandoning custody to her. However, I suspect they'll take Stuart back and leave before the end of the year.
