Additional Comments: Unless Brot and his Mom don't get along, I can't imagine that he would let HER think he was dead. Now I'm wondering about that scene when Taylor and Frankie went to visit her. The whole time they were there, her eyes were squinted, scrunched up, and mostly closed. At the time, I wondered if the lights were bothering the actress or she had some other kind of problem to cause her eyes to be like that. But now that the story has moved along, and we know that Brot is alive, maybe she had her eyes half-closed like that so Taylor and Frankie wouldn't see that she was lying. Just a thought. eom

Message: I've believed from the start that his mother knows he's alive..he asked her to cover for him and to tell Taylor should she ever show up at her door that Brot never mentioned Taylor. You see how that crushed Taylor...and to me that was Brot's plan to get Taylor to move on. Let go of him not only as having "died" but to let go of his memory...and move on.
The mother knows her son is alive IMHO.
