Am I the only one who doesn't like Dixie and was glad that she ate those poison pancakes?
I don't even like Cady. She comes and goes from one soap to another, always badmouthing the one she just left and airing the dirty laundry on her blog. I don't even think she's that great of an actress. She was horrible as Rosanne on ATWT.
Not looking forward to her return at all. I already can't wait until she's gone again.

Message: I don't hold anything against Cady McClain personally, but her return is just a big dud. It is as if TPTB have made it that Dixie is just a temporary thing and a soap opera thing, therefore she is a ghost. I guess they won't bring her back from the dead like Jesse Hubbard. The ghost storyline is riduculous and silly and it is not working. I would have rather that Dixie stayed dead than this Passions' like ghost storyline that is not getting the show better ratings and not doing Cady any favors.

Message: I don't think the actress is any better than most of the others on AMC. I never was taken with Dixie, could take her or leave her. I don't see how her so-called romance with Tad could be that great considering how they've treated each other over the years. As for this storyline, I think it's a waste of time if Dixie is not going to be around to be Kathy's mother. For KWAK to take over as her mother now is sickening, and Tad is a poor excuse for a father nowadays. He may have been there for JR over the years but a lot of his dedication was just to get one up on Adam. If Julia has to leave, send Kathy off with her instead of putting her through another loss. If Saint Dixie is here to straighten Adam out, she needs to spread some of her ghostly advice to Tad and JR as well.

Message: I agree! As far as I am concerned the ship of reuniting Kate with her parents has sailed! All the build up and then after taking forever to make it happen - who cares! So what they are going to do is take Kate from Julia and give her to KWAK to raise? This makes about as much sense as bring Cady back. I, too, have never cared for her acting. I don't know her as a person and never wanted to get any further involved with her so never listened to her recordings etc. I just do not think she is all that, but then the more I watch the show, the more I am feeling that way about most the characters. jmho

I've always loved Dixie and Cady' portrayal of her but I am not thrilled that she is back because of WHY she is back.
I enjoyed the Dixie/Adam scenes yesterday because of the two very fine Actors but I couldn't get over hating the fact that the Writers want us to believe that Tad deserves a miracle.
After the horrible things he has done he deserves to be as miserable as Adam always is. And he does not deserve divine intervention.
As for Kate's sake, she is already well and happy.

Message: Actually, like the person, the singer and the artist. Tried to like her as an actress. I really, really can't. I don't see the brilliance in either of the major soap characters that she's played, they're actually grating and to me, not nearly as good as her costars. When she's done the non soap related episodic television, (Law and Order SVU, I think,) she's been on just enough to fill screen space, but not make an impression.

Message: Can't stand her, especially this time around, both the character AND the actress. Something is 'off' about her acting style - as if she's channeling some sort of pseudo Katherine Hepburn and badly - I can't put my finger on it. And her crazy laugh isn't endearing or fun - it's grating. I never thought much of her, and this time is no exception. Sorry, don't get the Cady love.

Totally agree with you, I did like her first time around as Dixie but since then NO NO she jumps from one soap to another. I do not understand why the shows keep taking her back. Everyone knows she only stays for a few months then quits.

Message: ICAM, the way these returns of vets are being done, particularly Dixie, is a big turnoff to me. It doesn't make me want to tune in or tape the show. In fact, it makes me less inclined to catch it. Watching the noon news or B&B is more interesting.
I'm tired, in general, of seeing vets' returns being hyped & then the final product falling far short of what it could/should be. I've said it before, Tad was a ruined character the moment he came back from the dead & there hasn't been any improvement in the yrs since. Dixie's last return(s) haven't been anything more than anti-climactic either. They certainly haven't been what they could/should have been!
This issue has been a problem far longer than one or two HWs or EPs. It has been consistant for almost 20 yrs--which is the real shame & only proves that the problems come from much higher up. It also isn't just an AMC problem, so blaming it on one or two HWs & EPs doesn't make sense. What IS consistant is the Corp. mindset, whether or not Frons is the 'head of daytime' or not--since these problems have existed long before he was hired for that position. GH is having a very similar problem w/the return(s) of beloved characters, like Anna & Robert. It isn't just insulting to the actors, but to the audience & the writers--most of whom are capable of far better.

Message: Don't care only because of the way this is being done. I don't want a dead Dixie, I want a Tad and Dixie and Kate! Sorry PTB, but this is not enticing me to watch again.

Message: I'm not thrilled to see her back tormenting Adam. I like Dixie years ago, but in the last few years, something soured. Maybe it's the way she treated Tad while throwing herself at Zach, who was married.

I don't *don't care* nor am I thrilled, either. After seeing her on today's show, I'm kinda liking the idea of Ghost Dixie, especially, the giving Adam a storyline, part. And this return seems far better than her last -- for one thing, no lurking. (That's a real plus.) There's potential for some entertaining stuff, here -- especially if she follows through on Adam's dare concerning an army of zombies! Can she do that? Be still my heart!
Less than fond of the maniacal laugh, though. I'd like to see her more sardonic and less cartoonish.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I'm THRILLED that she's back, and I'm grateful to Cady for agreeing to return to right a wrong. I read her blog all the time, and think she's nothing but a class act.

It was fun having Dixie back to taunt Adam. I didn't care for the Dixie character that much but always felt Cady Mc was a great actress. I don't watch ATWT so can't really vouch for her there.

Message: I liked the "Original" character and actress who played "Dixie" and that was not Cady. The original character was a barefoot backwoods "Tammy" character who came to the big city from Pigeon Holler with her brother in hopes that their uncle Pete would take care of them after their mother died. Cady came and destroyed that image, became some kind of horney debutant wine expert, and got too big in the head for Tad. I was glad when AMC lost the actress and the [false] character. Maybe she can go on "Dead like Me".!

Message: I don't care for the character of Dixie. She was always going after Brooke's husbands and that turned me against the character. Dixie was certainly no angel like JR likes to think she was. She was NOT so great. JR needs a jolt of reality and so does Tad.

Message: I liked Dixie in the old days, but I certainly didn't like her this last time. She was sneaking around for weeks and then trying to suduce Zach knowing he was married to Kendall. She knew her son was suffering but didn't come out and tell him she was alive, I didn't like her I'm perfect, poor little helpless me act either.

I don't read her blog, so I don't know anything about the "badmouthing". But, I don't like her as an actor. IMO, she is only just about mediocre, and sometimes, awful.
I don't like Dixie, and haven't for a very, very, long time. So, no...I don't really care that she is back. But, it may make some very good scenes for my dear DC/Adam...so that's good!!
