According to the new SOD, Sydney Penny (Julia) has been let go and her exit will coincide with the reveal that Kathy is Kate.

Message: Nothing against Sydney Penny, but I never did see a good reason to bring her back. She replaced a sister that they didn't know what to do with and the rest of the Santos family was long gone. It was just a way to drag out the storyline about Tad and Dixie's lost child, when fans would have liked to see it resolved.

Message: RB has been saying for months that SP would be let go. It had to be delayed since SP only recently returned from maternity leave. If it appears you fire some one because they were out on maternity leave or for being pregnant you can be sued. So TPTB waited until it was legally save to let her go.

Message: WHAT!!!!!! That is soooooo dufus and fear Julia's exit will cause more pain for Kathy. Also, I have always liked Julia, since she stopped decking every guy in PV and broke away from Jamie. I will miss her. :(

Well, I’d like to know why they do this all the time.They bring back characters who were popular before, and don’t give them meaningful storylines and then they let them go.She’s been on the backburner ever since she came back. Why bring them back in the first place?
