Well, I'd love it. It would be the only thing to get me to tune back in. Haven't watched since GhostDixie disappeared the last time.
Cady did not leave AMC or ATWT of her own volition the last few times. AMC killed her off with PB Pancakes after she spoke up behind the scenes about Tad being a torturer when MMT thought her story was brilliant. She did publically support the story in a magazine interview, as I recall, but was worried for his character and how Tad would fare in the aftermath if he showed no remorse or self-torture over killing Madden (accidentally). ATWT brought her back only to destroy Rosanna for the Paul/Meg stuff and used her short term, then AMC brought her on for a few weeks as a ghost only, and now same with ATWT, 6 months while Maura West was on maternity leave. IMHO it's to her credit that she has a talent as well as a following that shows want and so hire her repeatedly.
My problem is... no one is in character, judging by scoops I read, and the show sucks in general. So do I really want Cady subjected to this bullpoop again? I know I'd enjoy seeing Dixie again, but am afraid of what fresh hell they'd devise for the character.
I do. But I don't think the show deserves Tad and Dixie. The fans do, but the show wouldn't do them justice.
It's was so wrong that Dixie was killed off the way she was and never got to know the little girl she wanted so badly. And the Tad and Dixie fans wanted them to have a baby together for so long -- and this is what the writers do?! Not only that, they stick the knife in and twist it even more by having Tad have a baby girl with Krystal.
I am so angry at Frons and company. It's been over two years that Dixie was killed off. They pull something like this and they say it was a mistake in the press, but meanwhile, they have done ZERO to fix it. And they've had so many chances, they just won't do it. They don't care.
While I'll always be a fan of All My Children in general, I don't watch the show anymore. The show doesn't deserve my veiwership at all.
It wasn't that she supported Julia Barr in the blog (although i really did admire here for that).
The actress is a bit of a flake / loon and became more and more difficult to work with, hence, the dismissal.

Even if the show was staying in NYC, I wouldn't want that flake back. I don't see her making the commute, or signing on for a stint making the commute worth it anyway. It is one thing to change shows when it is a matter of a short commute, but 3,000 miles is a bit much.
Personal feelings about Cady aside, I don't think that TPTB at ABC/Disney has done anything for either the actress or the character the last couple of stints. I liked both Cady & the character of Dixie, but TPTB at ABC did a real number on the character over the last few yrs. Unless there was a big change in how they interpret the character I wouldn't want to see her back on the canvas.

They never seem to know how to put a good storyline together whenever they bring someone back. I’ve never liked any of her storylines any time they’ve brought her back, or most of the others for that matter. Look what they did with RB.

At first when Dixie came on, and she enticed Adam, broke up the best marriage (to Brooke) he ever had....I hated her, but when she got with Tad, I fell in love with the couple. Then found out she was flighty, would leave the program when ever she pleased... then come back a couple of time, and when she stipulated she wanted to work with David........... that was it for me. I no longer care for her, and believe if she came back...she would end up leaving once again...she is not really committed to AMC, and comes and goes at will. So NO, I do not want her to return! Being that it is now the understanding that Greens will be back when they make the move to California, I believe she is the one that David is taking care of, not Dixie!

ME ME ME ME ME!
As Dixie's last reincarnation, yes...not the pita whiny brat she was before she went off to France and 'died.'
Yes..I would love for her to be being kept alive by David.
I'd love for her to return and kick KWAK's backside so far away from Tad and "Kathy" ....Tad can either keep custody of Jenny or send the child off with KWAK...but I would love for Tad to be together forever with Dixie again.
Then maybe the writers will get Tad back out of the house and into a job outside the home. I don't care that he's chosen to be a full-time father...I care that he isn't really given much to show he's doing that..and in fact he leaves the kids with (?) at the drop of a hat. He invited disgusting KWAK back into the home to help raise the girls but KWAK spends 99% of her time bopping around town, usually in some tacky ho-outfit, and 9 times out of 10 ends up at Fusion belting back a few. BLEH.
I cannot take Tad with KWAK. So clear the decks and bring back Dixie and since Dr. Joe is officially gone, let T&D take over as the "stable" couple in town. Not boring...not senior citizens...just a stable married couple...that does NOT mean boring. It never did back in the glory days of AMC. They can have interesting storylines around their jobs, around their children, around other family members and friends...there's a lot of stuff they could mine to make them interesting and up and running characters.
Yep...bring her back. That they fired her over the Julia Barr thing was sickening.
Love Cady..she handled all of that with such professionalism and class. Bring her back.
BRING BACK DIXIE (and only Cady can play the role).
PS: AND I STILL WISH THEY'D FIND A WAY FOR 'KATHY' TO WANT TO BE CALLED 'KATE'..kids of school age...especially pre-teens although she's not a pre-teen yet and they shouldn't SORAS her to be one either...but even young children often asked to be called other names. "Junior" asked to be called "JR"..."Kate" (Tara's daughter) asked to be called "Kelsey" ---I don't think that Kathy is too young to say (having been told again the story of her birth) that she'd like to be called "Kate." I really want that child to be called "Kate" - it has such historic meaning with AMC and it IS the name Dixie gave her to honor Tad's grandmother. A name is a name but in this case, they need to make the change.
